I lost my 17.5 year old cat, my best friend, Minnie. I had Covid and wasn’t sure how to deal with anything as I couldn’t leave the house. Liz drove to my... house and collected Minnie, ringing me after to reassure me that they’d arrived back at the crematorium.I can’t wait explain how grateful I am to Nigel and Liz, they were so kind. They took a fur clipping and paw print for me too. When I got my ashes back in my chosen tribute box. Her wee print was there for all to see. I cried like a baby. Loosing our miniature Terrier on Christmas morning to a brain aneurysm, our house was devastated, she been part of our family for 12 years. Our 3 children grew... up with her. Having no idea how to get through this loss, I looked online for some way to mark Dora a passing. I found a link for “ Peaceful Paws”, knowing it was Christmas Day I still sent an enquiry not really expecting anything back but I had to try. Not only did I get a reply I got a phone call on Christmas night and was offered so much more than I could hope for, we were able to take Dora up there the next morning and were taken to a room that an only be described as peaceful and tranquil giving us so much peace, she was going to be taken care by someone who understands what she means to us. Dora was cremated and when we went to collect her, she was back in her wee room with paw prints, a clipping of hair and beautiful wee posy of flowers, seeds to plant and a lovely card. I honestly know that peaceful paws is one of the biggest reasons we could draw breath again. The care they show you and your pet is absolutely amazing.read more

25/2/20 was a very painful day for my family and I, letting go off our precious girl Lexie, but Nigel, Liz and Karen were absolutely perfect from start to... finish, and we knew our girl was being looked after by the right people. Where to begin about this incredible place. My constant wee sidekick Mollie (10), my 24/7 4 paw'd live in therapist. On 5th May 2019 my all year round hot... water bottle, was diagnosed with non operable cancer. It seems even surreal now typing that. Even superhero's have to retire I guess 🙁 Our incredible vet Claire Ferris released my friend to be free, with such dignity, on 16th September 2019. I was so afraid, but not even an hour later we pulled into Peaceful Paws car park and where met by one of the most gorgeous wee souls ever, wee Liz. She placed with my hubby Wil, our precious Mollie into a bed and placed a pillow under her head and a blanket around her. The dignity shown to her was so valuable to me. We where shown into what only can be described as one of the most peaceful room's ever. I just knew my wee friend was in very safe hands from the very start. When you feel your world is exploding please consider letting your wee animals final journey be with Peaceful Paws wee Liz and Nigel, you can't buy what these beautiful hearted people offer, I adore you for all you folks did, right down to the paw prints in clay and ink,the wee posie of flowers, the card & Mollie's hair clippings we received, when we collected Mollie's ashes, I will cherish them forever. After my worst nightmare came true and I lost my baby girl at 18yrs we decided to use the services of Peaceful Paws for the first time (ordinarily we have... always left our dog with the vet) and have never been so glad I did.I after a few traumatic experinces of losing different dogs over the years I was amazed to be given the same respect, understanding and sympathy as if it was a human family member I had just lost.I walked away knowing I had done the best I could for my girl and she was going to be looked after as an individual by Nigel who I had met and spoken with, I knew she would be treated gently and with consideration. I have previously felt very cold and as if I have abandoned my dog when leaving them at the vet, but in choosing this option I was able to bring her home, spend some time cleaning and brushing her and have those last few special cuddles where I could grieve in the privacy of my own home with family members.Peaceful Paws were very accommodating in their appointment times and when that time came we walked in to a spotless, warm homely environment. As I sat in the car waiting to go in, I was dreading getting out and handing my girl over to a stranger, someone who may even think I was rediculous for being so upset, I was so nervous about going in, and then the door was opened to greet us by Nigel and for the first time that day I smiled as little Mollie their Jack Russell came bounding towards us tail wagging to greet us, it was just the right thing at the right time.We were given our time in a quiet, comfortable room with candles, music and a fire and it was my decision when I would lay my baby down and when I did it was into a bed that was provided with blankets to tuck her in. I left her knowing she was comfortable. She looked like she was sleeping, we came out chatted and then I was able to go back in for a second time before we left.Penny was able to come home within 24hrs, which included the engraving of the urn. I cant describe how relieved I was to have her back so soon and to know she wasnt left for 3-4 weeks like our others have.When we arrived to pick her up there was a beautiful lay out of her urn, a posy of flowers, a lovely worded card, a little packet of forget me not flower seeds, her paw prints and a cut of her hair, and again we were given as much time as we needed to go through it all.In short I will never leave any of my dogs at the vets ever again and Peaceful Paws will be my first port of call.Thank you so much Nigel and team, I dont know if you realise what a difference you made in our grieving process and dealing with the loss of our girl.read more

I cannot say enough good things about Peaceful Paws. Tuesday 8th May was the worst day when my beautiful lab Riley went to sleep. Nigel and his mum collected... Riley and took him on his bed with his toy which gave me so much comfort. Being able to see him later looking so peaceful was such a help too. The amount of care and attention taken was obvious and that really helped our family. When we collected Riley I couldn’t believe the personal special touches provided. It gave me such a lift and I knew we had chosen the right place for my boy. Nigel and his mum are the loveliest people to deal with, so sympathetic and respectful and obviously animal lovers. Nigel was very helpful trough the whole period. His care and compassion made this very upseting time easier to bear. Our beloved Tomi was very gentle and... loving and he deserved to be treated with respect. The private room was very peacefull.Our vet suggested a different place for cremation but I am so glad I found "Peacefull Paws" on time to take our Tomi there and give him a final goodbye. It really made a difference. He was there like if he was sleeping. He is saddly missed.I cannot thank Nigel enough for all his support. The care and... dignity shown towards Bert and myself helped to make a very difficult time a little easier. My dog passed away suddenly on the evening of Christmas Day. Being unsure what to do I sent Peaceful Paws an email and private message, not expecting to hear... back from them until the next day. Nigel responded within 30 mins and really couldn't have been better with his advice and guidance at a difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble., despite being Christmas Day. Nigel made himself available on Boxing Day but I decided Sam was to be cremated on the 27th December 2017. Once again Nigel and Liz please accept my sincerest thanks for everything you did. I collected Sam in a very nice casket with hair clippings and paw prints. I really cannot recommend Peaceful Paws enough. From the very first contact Nigel’s manner inspired our trust and confidence that our special boy, Eddie, would be treated with respect and care after he... passed away last Friday. We were able to say our final goodbye in the farewell room and when we collected Eddie’s ashes, we were again shown into the room where his urn, a cast of his pawprint and a lovely card and small flower arrangement awaited us. On both occasions we were told to take our time – there was no rush. Nigel was caring, compassionate, patient and professional in supporting us throughout this very difficult time and we are extremely grateful. I would highly recommend peaceful paws to anyone that wants a personal and wonderful service when your beloved pet passes on. When our dog milo had to... unfortunately be put to sleep on Wednesday at half 6 at night we were able to take him straight up to peaceful paws where we were greeted by lovely Liz who kept the place open for us and greeted us with a lovely smile and put milo in a dog basket with a blanket over him, where we were told to spend as much time as we needed with him in a very calming room, it just helped so much. We were then helped through the process of picking a casket to which we picked a candle stick and with a conversation and cup of tea we were reassured milo would have the upmost care while there. And on the day of picking milo's ashes up we were presented with the lot candlestick I little bunch of flowers and a hand written card couldn't have asked for anymore. Definitely above and beyond the service. Could not recommend them moreread more

Had to make the difficult decision to have our beautiful mini schnauzer, lily, put to sleep. Having read the reviews for "peaceful paws" I contacted them and... spoke with Nigel who provided us with an overview of their service. Having lost our beloved golden retriever, Molly, just last week I wanted to pass on our thanks for the wonderful service we have received from Peaceful... Paws.We had spoken to lovely Liz on the phone who was kind enough to answer our call late in on the evening after Molly had passed. Nigel picked her up from the vets the very next morning. She was cleaned, and laid out in a dog bed covered with a blanket. We were then able to spend some much needed time with her in a quiet side room before we said our goodbyes. Molly was back home with us within 48hours, her ashes placed in a beautiful wooden box with her name engraved on a little metal plaque. They also provide us with a small clipping of her golden fluffy fur, and we were glad we had paid extra for the clay paw imprint. We also received a sympathy card with a hand-written note and a small bundle of flowers. Peaceful Pets offers an invaluable service for distraught owners who want to say their goodbyes in a calm and serene environment. I trust them completely that they would have handled our precious girl with the utmost care- after 14 years of being part of our family, we wanted to ensure she was treated with dignity and respect right to the very end.Nigel and Liz have been absolutely lovely, I could not recommended them enough.read more

Peaceful Paws Pet Crematorium were wonderful at a very difficult time when we had to make a decision about our beloved cat Gris who suffered from Renal... Failure.When I called Peaceful Paws, Nigel was very sympathetic, patient and understanding. He listened to what we wanted for Gris and then explained everything in a calm manner.When it came time to leave Gris, Nigel greeted us warmly and made us feel very at ease. We were taken into a lovely room and told to take our time to say our goodbyes.
